Gazen Gallery Offers a 2010 “Stimulus Package”: Own Genuine Hudson Valley Art for Half-Price!

Ring in the New Year by sprucing up your home or office with a new piece of art, sculpture, pottery or other decoration without hurting your budget. Visit the Gazen Gallery in Rhinebeck, where they are having their first ever Half-Price Event! From now until February 8th, selected merchandise from a variety of Hudson Valley artists will sell for half of the regular price. That is 50% off of one-of-a-kind pieces created by talented local artists.

Gallery owner Linda Gazen Weisbrod says, “This is a great opportunity to save money while buying something special for you or as a gift for someone else. There are many items to choose from, but I encourage you to come early for the best selection.”

The Gazen Gallery shows contemporary, modern and abstract art of varying mediums, such as photographs, paintings, sculptures and other art media. The gallery is a fairly new addition to Montgomery Row in Rhinebeck. Joel Weisbrod and his wife Linda decided to open the gallery in May of 2009, after retiring to the community of Rhinebeck four years earlier. The Weisbrod’s were familiar with the area because Linda’s grandfather, Abraham Gazen, came to Rhinebeck to be a blacksmith in 1915. Joel himself has been an avid photographer for over 30 years, even publishing his own book of scuba photography.

The goal of the Gazen Gallery is to display art that is enjoyable, entertaining, and affordable for everyone. The Weisbrod’s have made the Gazen Gallery unique by showing only regionally specific art from artists in Rhinebeck and the Hudson Valley. This approach gives tourists a chance to collect authentic art specific to the area. It also provides local residents with the opportunity to support the efforts of others in their community.

The Gazen Gallery is open Wednesday to Monday, from 10am to 7pm. For more information about the gallery and any upcoming shows, call (845) 876-4ART (4278) or visit www.gazengallery.com. The gallery is located on Montgomery Street (US-9) in the Village of Rhinebeck. For directions, visit www.gazengallery.com.
